GHOST OF TOMORROW

action thriller

PRE-PRODUCTION

An ambitious action thriller, set against the rapidly changing geo-political landscape of the late 20th Century

When a man lives up to his potential, he fulfils his destiny; in so doing, he inspires others to do the same. But when a man dies to give the world another chance, his spirit becomes the Ghost of Tomorrow. SAS officer, ‘Christie’ Jago, is that man.

Christie and his men are on a recce mission in Sierra Leone in 1998, when things go badly wrong. Christie is shot and left for dead by his own comrades. Christie is framed for the betrayal, dishonourably discharged and publicly condemned. But his commander, Charles Eversley, doesn’t buy it; something is off.

Eversley’s instincts are right. Christie life is saved by the psychopathic leader of the rebels he’d been hunting, ‘Colonel Cambodia’, who is intent on turning Christie against his former comrades: after all, they shot him and left him for dead! Christie agrees, but it’s a façade; his moral compass never wavers.

In this complex, twisting plot, Christie finds himself unpicking a dangerous, new global conspiracy; MI6, the CIA and even the love of his life, are all central to the story, as Al-Qaeda, gear up to attack US embassies in Nairobi, Dar es Salaam and Kampala. It’s this final embassy attack that Christie will thwart, which he could not have done, if he were ‘alive’.

Eventually, Christie faces a choice: remain a Ghost so he can live unseen and work to save tomorrow, or come back to life and avenge his earlier betrayal.
